FIVE AFRICAN STATES SIGN TO BUY MOTOROLA SYSTEMS

ARLINGTON HEIGHT, Ill.-The African states of Tanzania, Zaire, Nigeria, Ghana and Angola have contracted with Motorola Inc.’s Cellular Infrastructure Group to receive analog, digital and wireless local loop cellular telephone systems.

The contracts represent a network expansion in Angola, the first cellular system in Tanzania and the second systems using Motorola equipment in Zaire, Nigeria and Ghana.
