GREENLAWN, N.Y.-Nextel Communications Inc. has agreed to purchase the Phazar Intelligent Antenna System by Hazeltine Corp. over a two-year period.
The contract has a potential value of $20 million, according to Greenlawn-based Hazeltine.
The antenna system is designed for enhanced specialized mobile radio, replacing traditional single beam antennas with models that use a planar array, open array or omnidirectional array.
