BELLEVUE, Wash.-U S West Inc. named Jan Peters chief operating officer of U S West NewVector Group Inc., the company’s cellular division, where she will oversee all company operations.
Prior to her appointment, Peters served as vice president of sales and distribution in the same division. She has six years experience with U S West, and 20 years experience in the telecommunications industry. Before joining U S West, Peters spent 13 years at AT&T Corp.
Peters will report to Chuck Lillis, acting president and chief executive officer of NewVector. John DeFeo resigned as NewVector president and chief executive officer.
