HONG KONG-RadioMail Corp. plans to sell its wireless messaging services in Hong Kong, with service to start in July, the company said.
Operating on Motorola Inc.’s AirCommunication network, RadioMail said it will enable wireless communications, including Internet, e-mail, fax and paging services, between Asia and the United States.
RadioMail services will be available using Apple Computer Inc.’s Newton Message Pad 120 personal digital assistant, Hewlett-Packard Co.’s HP 200LX Palmtop personal computers and Windows-based notebook computers. Each is compatible with Motorola’s PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) Type II wireless modem card.
“Introducing RadioMail service here is in keeping with our plans for global expansion, and we soon will expand coverage throughout Asia and Australia,” said Geoff Goodfellow, RadioMail chairman.
RadioMail said its services currently are offered through multiple networks around the world. The company has offices in the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney, Australia.
