CUPERTINO, Calif.-Differential Corrections Inc. will provide digital data services to the North Dakota Department of Transportation using Radio Broadcast Data System technology.
DCI provides global positioning system differential correction service over a network of FM radio stations. Users can receive real-time, dynamic GPS position fixes with accuracy to one meter, five meters or 10 meters.
DCI’s broadcast service will work with DCI’s in-vehicle or portable RBDS receivers to help the state monitor its own vehicles, quickly locate accident sites on the highway, coordinate law enforcement pursuit and search endeavors, as well as comply with federal highway regulations calling for precise pinpointing of bridges, roads and dams.
