VANCOUVER, British Columbia-Brookline Minerals Inc. announced it has funded Denver-based American Digital Communications Inc. for the construction of about 20 specialized mobile radio systems on the 220 MHz spectrum.
The buildout includes systems in St. Louis, San Antonio, Portland, Ore., Washington, D.C., Tampa, Fla., Detroit and Denver. Total cost is estimated at $1.6 million. Construction is expected to begin immediately and be completed by Dec. 31.
The SMR systems will use Securicor Communications Ltd. narrowband radio equipment. Securicor is a subsidiary of the Securicor Group plc, a U.K.-based international organization specializing in parcel handling and delivery, security services and fixed and mobile telecommunications.
Midland Systems of Kansas City, Mo., will coordinate the buildout. American Digital intends to enter into a roaming agreement with Los Angeles-based Roamer One Inc. for the systems after construction.
