JACKSON, Miss.-Mobile Telecommunication Technologies Corp. announced its total number of paging units in service has increased to one million one-way, two-way and voice messaging units worldwide.
“At the beginning of 1994, we made a strategic commitment to dramatically expand our installed customer base,” said John Palmer, Mtel’s founder and chairman. “To achieve this level of growth, Mtel has had to more than double in size in the past 12 months even as our industry became more competitive.
“We were the first to offer text and wireless information services, and we have the most comprehensive international coverage in the world.”
