Ranking is based on the estimated number of paging subscribers reported for each country. Penetration rates were computed using 1995 population figures from the 1996 Information Please Almanac.
This Top 20 feature contains new research and may not be comparable to prior years’ lists. Some market numbers have been revised downward to reflect more conservative estimates.
