ReadyCom field trials garner 46 paying users
ReadyCom Inc. announced it has completed the first phase of its two-way voice messaging market trial. From the 43 participants recruited for the 30-day free trial, ReadyTalk now has 46 paying customers, the result of post-trial conversions, add-ons and referrals, the company said.
In late January, ReadyCom and the North Carolina Small Business and Technology Development Center recruited 43 participants for the trial, segmented by their wireless use, which included paging, paging and cellular, cellular and non-wireless users. ReadyCom said the participants were given a ReadyTalker handset and short product introduction in mid-January.
During the 30-day trial, ReadyCom said it monitored each participant’s use of ReadyTalk handsets and service. The company said it found that the ReadyTalk peak daily usage patterns were found to have offset regular cellular usage patterns, and the most satisfied participants tied their in-house voice mail systems to ReadyTalk so that their voice messages were sent to their ReadyTalker handsets.
The company said the trial exceeded its expectations.
