NEW YORK-International telephone operator Millicom International Cellular S.A. announced Cambodia GSM Ltd., a joint venture between the Cambodian Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and MIC’s partner, the Royal Group of Companies Ltd., has been awarded the first Global System for Mobile communications cellular license in Cambodia.
MIC said it plans to start service in Phnom Penh by the end of the year and expand to the provinces during the next several years.
