SUNNYVALE, Calif.-Conductus Inc. announced it has successfully completed two additional rural field tests of its ultra-low-noise receiver subsystem for cellular base stations.
The Conductus subsystem is designed to provide enhanced range, improved coverage and improved signal quality in rural cellular sites by combining a superconductive bandpass filter with a cryogenic low-noise amplifier, said the company.
Conductus said the latest tests were conducted at a Cellcom site in Wisconsin and in a Kansas Cellular site in Kansas. In both cases, the Conductus front-end receiver subsystem provided range and coverage improvements in the cell site service area due to the system’s increased uplink sensitivity, said Conductus.
