ARLINGTON, Va.-The Industrial Telecommunications Association has submitted a business plan to the Federal Communications Commission to become a clearinghouse that will administer the 2 GHz relocation cost-sharing plan.
The plan details how ITA will process reimbursements between personal communications services licensees that mutually benefit from the relocation of a microwave link, ITA said.
ITA said it submitted the 92-page document in response to the FCC’s Public Notice that solicited business plans from parties who wish to act as a neutral, not-for-profit clearinghouse. Clearinghouses will serve as mediators for later-entrant PCS licensees that benefit from the prior relocation of a microwave system.
