Many of the networks plan to provide wireless telecommunications service to both fixed and mobile terminals. The Spaceway system from Hughes Communications Inc. is designed for fixed-terminal applications only.
ICO Global Communications, formerly known as Inmarsat-P, is a spin off of the International Mobile Satellite Organization.
RCR has excluded mobile satellite service companies that only resell service from other companies already on this list. The OmniTracs division of Qualcomm Inc. resells service from GE Americom.
