FAIRFAX, Va.-American Management Systems, a business and information technology consulting firm, announced an $8.5 million agreement to develop a comprehensive customer care and billing platform to support Canadian-based Microcell Telecommunications Inc.’s new personal communications services offering.
Under the terms of the agreement, AMS will provide Microcell with Spectrum2000, AMS’ Global System for Mobile communications customer care and billing system. The new system will use a three-tiered client/server architecture and object-oriented technology. The front-end graphical user interface will run on Microsoft Windows NT, said AMS.
