IRVINE, Calif.-Cox California PCS Inc. and Boston Technology Inc. signed a three-year contract to provide services for personal communications services customers in the Los Angeles/San Diego major trading area.
Under the terms of the contract, Boston Technology will provide Cox California with its Access NP Network Services Platforms along with associated service applications, software and support services, said the companies.
The contract’s initial phase calls for Boston Technology’s systems and software to provide call answering service to wireless customers throughout the Los Angeles/San Diego MTA. The MTA, comprised of Southern California, southwestern Nevada and northwestern Arizona, includes the cities of Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Calif., and Las Vegas.
Cox California is the wireless subsidiary of Cox Communications. The company was awarded a pioneer’s preference license from the Federal Communications Commission for its integration of cable infrastructure with PCS.
