NEW YORK-Affordable Message Center, an alphanumeric paging reseller, announced it began offering numeric paging services on ProNet Inc’s. frequencies to all of its indirect resellers in the New York/New Jersey region on Sept. 25.
ProNet is focusing on its larger accounts, according to David E. Honig, national sales director of Affordable Message Center, Islandia, N.Y.
The purpose of AMC’s new numeric offering, therefore, is to give smaller resellers access to ProNet’s numeric paging services at reasonable, competitive rates, he said.
Under the new program, Affordable Message Center will charge resellers a wholesale monthly price of $2.95. Depending on a number of variables, the price can go as low as $2.45, Honig said.
Resellers will be able to retrieve an activated cap code and beeper number by contacting Affordable Message Center’s “On Line Agent Access Computer System.” The reseller can then program the cap code in a matter of minutes into a customer’s numeric pager.
