EON PERU TO DEPLOY REMOTE VENDING NETWORK

CHANTILLY, Va.-EON Corp.’s new international affiliate, EON Peru, has agreed to provide remote vending telemetry technology and software systems in Peru. According to an agreement with AGS International Services S.A. EON will install its wireless modem kit in 400 AGS vending machines located in Lima and Peru by January 1998.

“The opportunity to improve profitability, by increasing sales and decreasing operating costs was the key reason we chose to deploy a remote monitoring and control capability throughout our state-of-the-art beverage and snack food vending business,” said Alfonso Andress Sr., president of AGS. “We will recoup our initial investment in a few short months and begin realizing the increased profit potential of our business.”

“The formation of EON Peru resulted from discussions with local businessmen, who have significant experience in the markets EON has targeted,” said Hal Turner, president and chief executive officer of EON. “We all immediately recognized the immense potential inherent in a combination of EON’s patented wireless technology with local market access and business contacts.”
