ABILENE, Texas-Specialized mobile radio provider Pittencrieff Communications Inc. said recent consolidation of its sales and service centers negatively impacted its third quarter results. However, Warren Harkins, chairman, president and chief executive officer of the company, said he expects the closings and consolidations to enhance the company’s overall operations through cost savings.
Revenues for the quarter ended Sept. 30 were $8.7 million compared with revenues of $9.3 million for the third quarter 1995. Revenues for the nine months totaled $28.1 million, slightly more than revenues of $28 million for the same period last year.
The company reported net loss of $2.5 million, or 9 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $1.1 million, or 7 cents per share for the third quarter 1995.
