FAIRFIELD, N.J.-Electronics Communications Corp. activated its own paging system making it a full-service paging carrier.
Electronics Communications has licenses covering Long Island, Westchester and Rockland counties and metropolitan New York, New Jersey, lower Connecticut and downtown Philadelphia. The system uses a Glenayre 900 megahertz FLEX paging network and can support up to 600,000 new subscribers.
The company recently won six personal communications services licenses in five states covering 1.6 million people, and it entered a strategic partnership with Nextwave Personal Communications Inc.
