SmarTrunk Systems Inc. announced its ST-865KW2 SmarTrunk II trunking logic board, which offers advanced trunking features for Kenwood’s latest portable and mobile conventional radio models. The logic board enables radios to share a common pool of frequencies for individual calls, group calls and telephone interconnection operation. A high degree of system operator control eliminates system pirates so that only paying radios can use the system, the company said. Oki telecom launched the Oki Phones 1475 to expand its line of macro cellular, Advanced Mobile Phone Service/Narrowband AMPS, authenticatible cellular phones. The dual-mode phone will be available in North and South American markets during the first quarter of 1997.
