CHARLOTTE, N.C.-Glenayre Technologies Inc.’s Wireless Messaging Group received an order for paging infrastructure equipment from ProNet Inc. Glenayre values the contract at $3.5 million.
According to the agreement, Glenayre will provide its GL-T8500/T8600 transmitters, GL-C2000 controllers and GL-S2164 satellite receivers to expand ProNet’s network coverage. The equipment upgrades and additions include seven GL3000 wireless messaging switches to increase the network’s subscriber capacity and support high speed paging protocols including FLEX.
Dallas-based ProNet provides wireless communications services through its paging and security operations to more than 1 million subscribers in the United States.
