LCC REVENUES UP, BUT RECORDS LOSS: GLENAYRE FINISHES ERMES 14 TESTING

ARLINGTON, Va.-LCC International Inc. saw revenues and losses increase in its recent financial figures. LCC reported revenues for the fourth quarter, ended Dec. 31, were $43.4 million, a 32 percent increase compared with fourth quarter 1995 revenues of $32.8 million. Annual revenues were $141.6 million, 36 percent more than revenues of $104.5 million for 1995.

LCC had a fourth quarter net loss of $653,000, or 1 cent per share, compared with net income of $3.6 million, or 22 cents per share for fourth quarter 1995. Net income for the year was $13.3 million, or 30 cents per share, compared with net income of $4.7 million, or 36 cents per share for 1995.

Glenayre finishes ERMES 14 testing

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-Glenayre Technologies Inc. finished its first inter-manufacturer tests of the ERMES I4 protocol, which is designed for roaming between paging operators with different infrastructure equipment.

Glenayre transmitted messages from its GL3000 paging network controller in Darmstadt, Germany, to Tecnomen Oy’s facility in Ireland.
