SANTA CLARA, Calif.-Motorola Inc.’s Semiconductor Products Sector said it is volume shipping its 68175 FLEX chip paging protocol IC worldwide.
The FLEX chip IC processes information that has been received and demodulated from a FLEX radio paging channel, selects messages addressed to the paging device and communicates the message information to the host, the company said.
The FLEX solution is featured in the Casio Computer Company Ltd.’s NP-158, a numeric pager with 20-message memory, 41 characters per message capacity and 12 different paging tones.
