DALLAS-PageMart Wireless Inc. said it will begin international service during the second quarter, allowing subscribers to roam in Canada, Mexico and Central America.
International numeric roaming will cost $15 per month for 400 messages. International text messaging, including 400 numeric and 100 alphanumeric, will be priced at $30 per month.
Service options available to subscribers include OmniRoam and InfoRoam, which allow subscribers to transfer local numeric paging and text messaging service anywhere in PageMart’s network.
“International paging is no longer a premium-priced product,” said John Beletic, president and chief executive officer of PageMart. “Now, subscribers can receive 400 messages per month while they roam NAFTA-wide for roughly the same price as one typical international telephone call.”
