CASTLE’S CLEAN-UP COSTING $1 MILLION

HOUSTON-Castle Tower Corp. said it is repairing towers and shelters it acquired from Pittencrieff Communications Inc. in 1995 as well as sites it acquired from Motorola Inc. in Puerto Rico. The clean-up program is expected to cost Castle $1 million.

John Gwyn, senior vice president of operations for Castle, said the Pittencrieff towers in Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas, and the Motorola towers in Puerto Rico were not in good shape when the company acquired them.

Castle Tower acquires, develops and manages towers, monopoles and building rooftops. The company said it has more than 2,400 site locations in the United States and Puerto Rico.
