PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico-Comsat Corp. said it is pleased with the progress that has been made toward restructuring the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization, during a meeting of Intelsat members last week in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
The assembly decided to establish a commercial affiliate that will be incorporated in the Netherlands. The assembly also established a working party to analyze issues that need further development or resolution prior to establishing the new company. The party must offer final recommendations by early 1998.
