DALLAS-HighwayMaster Corp. signed an agreement with Wal-Mart to install 3,000 of its Series 5000 mobile communications units in Wal-Mart’s fleet of trucks this year.
The HighwayMaster system is a nationwide mobile communications system that offers voice and data communications to the trucking industry. The system also incorporates Global Positioning System vehicle location technology and patented dispatch software.
All of Wal-Mart’s trucks will be outfitted with the system upon completion of this agreement.
