SOUTHFIELD, Mich.-AirTouch Cellular is providing free cellular telephone programming to cellular phone users affected by an area code split in Michigan’s Oakland County.
The company began reprogramming phones May 10 at AirTouch Cellular Sales & Service Centers and selected AirTouch Cellular authorized agent locations.
AirTouch said it also is suggesting consumers reprogram non-cellular equipment such as private branch exchange systems with automatic call routing, speed-call lists, pagers, burglar alarms, automatic dialers, fax machines, computer modems, voice mail, call forwarding and call detail recording.
