TUCSON, Ariz.-AirTouch Cellular selected Authentix Network Inc.’s Roamer Verification Reinstatement system for roaming fraud prevention in 17 states.
The agreement follows a successful implementation last year of the Authentix Verification System for AirTouch’s Los Angeles area subscribers. AVS provides a pre-call verification and authorization process to prevent roaming fraud, while RVR provides immediate reinstatement services once the customer’s identity is verified.
