CHICAGO-Aerial Communications Inc. launched its second personal communications services network in Houston. The company also has a network up in Columbus, Ohio, and has networks under construction in Kansas City, Mo., Minneapolis, Pittsburgh and Tampa, Fla.
Don Warkentin, president and chief executive officer of Aerial, said the Global System for Mobile communications network in Houston covers more than 4 million people.
Aerial is marketing its services in Houston through retailers including Best Buy, Circuit City, Montgomery Wards Electric Avenue, Office Depot, Office Max, Ritz Camera and Boater’s World, the company said.
