NEW YORK-PriCellular Corp. announced June 3 that it acquired the Wisconsin 5 RSA, which consists of three eastern Wisconsin counties. The Wisconsin 5 RSA borders PriCellular’s Eau Claire, Wis., MSA; its WI-1 RSA and AT&T’s Minneapolis MSA.
With this acquisition, PriCellular’s Upper Midwest cluster has increased to 1.9 million pops covering more than 75,000 contiguous square miles.
“The acquisition fills a hole in our network and ties our Wisconsin cluster directly to Minneapolis,” said Steven Price, president of PriCellular.
