WINNIPEG, Manitoba-MTS Mobility, a wireless service provider in Manitoba, Canada, signed a four-year supply agreement with Northern Telecom Ltd. for Interim Standard 95 Code Division Multiple Access cellular network equipment and services. Nortel values the agreement at $16 million.
MTS Mobility’s network is scheduled to launch during the fourth quarter. Initial service will include 50,000 potential customers in Winnipeg, with service ultimately scheduled to cover all of rural Manitoba.
