CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J.-Omnipoint Communications Services Inc. announced it launched commercial roaming services with Hungary’s Westel 900 GSM Mobile Tavkozlesi Rt.
The announcement marks the 26th roaming agreement secured by Omnipoint, which has embarked on an aggressive campaign for international roaming partners. Customers within the roaming areas can use their Global System for Mobile communications phones, as well as associated voice mail, Internet short message e-mail, paging, call waiting, call forwarding, caller ID and two-way data services, using Subscriber Identity Module cards.
