TRAVERSE CITY, Mich.-NPI Wireless, a division of the newspaper publisher Noverr Publishing Inc., announced it launched a 1900 MHz personal communications services network based on Global System for Mobile communications technology in northern Michigan.
Northern Telecom Inc. provided the network infrastructure, valued at $20 million, to the C-block licensee. NPI said its current coverage is 50 percent of its two basic trading areas. The company expects full coverage by next spring.
