LOS ANGELES-Specialized mobile radio carriers AirCom L.L.C., TelAll Corp., Alaska Communications, Cardiff Communications, South Central Radio, Unitel Inc. and Lancelot Holding Corp. agreed in principle to merge their companies and SMR channels into a single entity.
The new company, Alaskan Wireless L.L.C., said it will own or control more than 300 800 MHz SMR channels in Anchorage, Alaska. The company plans to launch digital cellular and integrated services Feb. 1.
