ATLANTA-Scientific-Atlanta Inc. announced it sold its Microwave Instrumentation business to a private group of investors called Microwave Instrumentation Technologies L.L.C.
“The sale of the microwave business completes our transition from defense and government-related businesses to allow us to focus on our core businesses,” said James McDonald, chief executive officer of Scientific-Atlanta. The company shifted its core business from microwave instruments to broadband terrestrial and satellite communications networks.
