PALO ALTO, Calif.-The Watkins-Johnson Co. said it established a new business unit, the Wireless Products Group, at its Palo Alto, Calif., plant. The new unit was formed after divesting its defense-electronics components and assemblies product lines to Mentomore Holdings Corp. on Oct. 31.
The new unit and divested product lines formerly constituted Watkins-Johnson’s Microwave Product Group. Malcolm J. Caraballo, who served as president of the Microwave Products Group, now is president of the Wireless Products Group.
“The Wireless Products Group name identifies our principal commercial market now that our organization is focused exclusively on the design and manufacture of advanced radio-frequency products for wireless,” said Caraballo.
