CUSHCRAFT
Cushcraft Corp. introduced the FRX450 UHF fiberglass omnidirectional antenna, which provides for transmission and reception of vertically polarized signals in the 450 MHz to 470 MHz frequency band. The antenna has a 5 dBi gain with an E-plane of 24 degrees. The FRX450 has a voltage standing wave ratio of less than 1.5: 1 maximum on 50 ohms impudence. The FRX450 is 42.25 inches in height and weights 1.14 pounds. Standard models are white and include mounting hardware. (603) 627-7877.
MAXON AMERICA
Maxon America Inc. introduced two wireless local loop terminals, the SAU-800 and SAU-1900, which utilize Code Division Multiple Access technology. Both terminals support 8- and 13-kilobits-per-second variable rate vocoding and produce 200 mW radio-frequency output power. The battery provides up to 3 hours of talk time or 24 hours of standby time and undergoes constant charging so the unit can place and receive calls even during a power failure. The terminals support enhanced calling services like caller ID and conference calling. Weighing about three pounds, the terminals are nine inches long, six inches wide and two inches deep and can be wall-mounted or placed on a desktop. Each terminal comes with a removable 50 Ohm antenna, a 110V or 220-230V AC adaptor, mounting hardware and an owner’s manual. (816) 891-6320.
