RICHARDSON, Texas-Anritsu Co. announced it received a contract from Qualcomm Inc. to develop, manufacture and market a custom test instrument to perform radio communication analysis on telephones for use on Globalstar satellite communications systems.
The MT8803G, used to test Globalstar phones, will be developed at Anritsu’s engineering facilities in Richardson, Texas, and Atsugi, Japan, and manufactured in the company’s Morgan Hill, Calif., facility. Delivery of the first instruments to Qualcomm is expected in August.
