MONTVALE, N.J.-Geotek Communications Inc. announced its fourth-quarter subscriber results, saying it activated 12,595 units, and that additional December orders activated in early January brought the total to 15,151 units as of Jan. 15.
Geotek secured $103.5 million in non-dilutive funding through the sale of non-strategic business assets last year. The company also completed a corporate restructuring in December and initiated a company-wide cost-reduction program, while redrawing functional boundaries to improve efficiency and focus on the U.S. businesses.
