WOODBRIDGE, N.J.-BellSouth Wireless Data announced Sears Roebuck & Co. awarded it the “Innovation Source of the Year” award and selected it from the retailer’s 10,000 vendors to be its “Partner in Progress.”
BellSouth provides Sears with a wireless data communications network that integrates a terrestrial network with satellite technology for full coverage between Sears’ home office and its Product Services home-repair technicians. BellSouth’s solution uses Norcom Networks Corp.’s satellite system and Nettech Systems Inc.’s middleware.
