Glenayre Technologies Inc. confirmed the general manager of its Sao Paulo, Brazil, operation was murdered earlier this month. Funeral services for Ricardo Periera were held last week in Sao Paulo.
Glenayre could not provide further details by press time.
Glenayre is constructing paging networks for several customers in Brazil. Last summer, it won infrastructure contracts with two of Brazil’s largest paging companies and with DirecTel International L.L.C. to construct a high-speed paging system covering Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
