Nextel Communications Inc. dealers have filed a putative class-action lawsuit against the enhanced specialized mobile radio operator in a San Diego court, claiming Nextel failed to properly pay commissions and other money the dealers say is due them.
The class includes all Nextel dealers in Southern California, Nevada and Arizona. Nicholas Boylan, counsel for the plaintiff, estimates that 100 or more dealers would be included in the class if certified by the court.
Nextel owes the dealers about $2 million to $3 million, he alleged.
Nextel said it is the company’s policy not to comment on lawsuits.
