LONG BEACH, Calif.-Phone Time Resources Inc.’s board of directors announced it approved a merger with Global Access Pagers Inc., featuring a 1: 40 reverse stock split.
The company, to be called Global Access, will market and distribute prepaid calling cards and prepaid cellular services and expand into the area of pager sales.
The combined company has begun marketing itself as “America’s Other Pager Manufacturer” with several lines of smaller numeric and alphanumeric pagers, including a micro FM radio pager.
Pushing an anti-churn platform, Global Access pagers feature over-the-air programming, which allows carriers to replace the time display with an “account due” message and can deactivate the pager so it cannot be re-crystaled. Users also can subscribe to information services using the same over-the-air programming.
