CHATHAM BUYS ENGINEERING FIRM

Chatham Technologies Inc., a Dallas-based manufacturer of custom enclosures for electronic and communications equipment, announced it has acquired Innovation Inc. of Bothell, Wash., an engineering and design firm serving the wireless industry.

“Among other benefits, Innovation offers the ability to produce custom base station systems that include such features as alternate power, monitoring and diagnostic technologies,” said B. William Bonnivier, president and chief executive officer of Chatham.

Kurt Conklin, president of Innovation, will continue to serve as president of the Innovation Group and also will join Chatham’s executive operations board, Bonnivier added.

Chatham was formed last year through acquisitions and joint venture partnerships with eight custom electronic enclosure companies in the United States and Europe.
