The May 12 court date MobileMedia Corp. had scheduled for a ruling on its disclosure statement for the company’s reorganization plan was again adjourned, this time until June 2.
This is the second time MobileMedia asked the court to adjourn the proceedings since the original court date in mid-April.
The reorganization plan has not yet received the approval of MobileMedia’s unsecured creditors, and the company wants to wait for this approval before submitting the disclosure statement to the bankruptcy court.
According to Krista Grossman, MobileMedia spokeswoman, these types of adjournments are common in bankruptcy proceedings.
The company reserves a bench date and works to get things in order by then. If it is not ready by that date, the company merely reserves a new bench date, Grossman said.
