SAN JOSE, Calif.-LGC Wireless Inc. and AG Communication Systems Corp. signed a letter of intent to jointly explore ways to integrate their wireless in-building capabilities.
“We think the LGCell system of distributed antennas from LGC Wireless could be an excellent match with our Roameo base stations,” said Carl Glaeser, vice president and general manager of the intelligent networks and wireless products division for AG Communication Systems.
The LGCell is a distributed antenna system designed to simplify the task of linking in-building cellular or personal communications services base stations. Roameo allows subscribers to receive calls on their desktop and wireless telephones whether they are in their office or on the road. It also allows a standard cellular or PCS handset to be used as a cordless extension of the office system, with the ability to make and receive calls with functions and features of the office line, including call transfer and forwarding, call waiting and three-way calling.
