PAGEMART

PageMart Wireless Inc. promoted two executives, Wayne Stargardt and Donna Regenbaum. Stargardt was named vice president of the company’s fastest-growing business unit, the Carrier Services Division. Stargardt previously was PageMart’s vice president of marketing. Before joining the company, he served as vice president of marketing for Pinpoint Communications Inc. and vice president of sales and marketing at Mizar Inc.

Regenbaum filled the vice president of marketing position. A four-year PageMart veteran, Regenbaum spearheaded the development and launch of the company’s Synapse pager card for the PalmPilot, and she will be instrumental in the company’s narrowband personal communications services advanced messaging rollout this year. Regenbaum will be responsible for PageMart’s marketing programs, product development and support for the company’s distribution and sales network.

U S WEST WIRELESS

Mark S. Bell was named vice president of new business development for U S West Wireless. Previously, Bell was the managing director of BPL-U S West Cellular, headquartered in Bangalore, India. In his new role, Bell will help develop new business opportunities and expand U S West’s wireless services, including Advanced PCS. He also will have an active role in industry relations. A long-time U S West veteran, Bell joined U S West New Vector Group as a Seattle-based branch manager in 1985. Before working for BPL-U S West in India, Bell served as chief operating officer for One 2 One, a London-based personal communications joint venture between U S West and Cable & Wireless plc.

ADC

Gokul Hemmady was named vice president and treasurer of ADC Telecommunications. In his new position, Hemmady will be responsible for the company’s global treasury activities. Hemmady joined ADC Telecommunications as assistant treasurer last year and has been acting treasurer for the past six months. Before joining ADC, Hemmady worked for U S West Inc. in capital markets and international finance, and with Citibank Corp., where he marketed financial risk-management products to Fortune 500 companies.

MOBILEMEDIA

Michael Lurie rejoined MobileMedia Corp., dba as MobileComm as vice president of the retail channel. Lurie will be responsible for MobileComm’s retail distribution, overseeing national retail accounts and working to expand the retail channel. Lurie most recently served as vice president of Powertel Inc., where he developed and implemented strategic business plans, including distribution channel development, pricing and organization structure. Before Powertel, Lurie spent eight years with MobileComm, joining the company in 1988 as director of alternate distribution channels.
