SPRINT AND SAMSUNG DONATE $500,000 FOR CANCER FOUNDATION

DALLAS-Samsung Telecommunications America and Sprint PCS announced they have joined in a partnership to promote breast cancer awareness.

The joint effort consists of an extensive breast-cancer-awareness campaign that includes providing phones and service for a national community outreach program to help breast-cancer victims. The companies also will make a $500,000 donation to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

The awareness campaign begins in September and will continue through October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
