WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.-NumereX Corp., which owns a controlling interest in Cellemetry L.L.C., announced a third-quarter net loss of $808,000, or 7 cents per share, compared with a net gain of $1.4 million, or 13 cents per share, during the corresponding period last year.
Net sales for the quarter totaled $7.1 million, compared with sales of $6.6 million for third quarter 1997.
Gordon Ray, chairman, president and chief executive officer, said the losses were due to the costs incurred in its acquisition of Cellemetry from BellSouth Corp. and UpLink, a security alarm monitoring company.
